Diapers and sanitary napkins works great in absorbing liquid spills out of a carpets! If it works, use it. The quicker you can respond and absorb as much liquid out of the carpet as possible, the better response you'll have. This may lower the risk of a spot wicking back up. Also if you should tip over a potted plant and get soil on a carpet, allow the soil to dry completely, then vacuum the soil out of the carpet, you are now ready to proceed with spotting. If you try to clean it while the soil is moist you could very well have a mud pie on your carpet. |
